Want to hold
Democratic elections
And freely vote for
Their representatives.
But the State of Israel
Is strongly opposed.
The Shabak Chief
Came to Ramallah and
Put pressure on President Abbas
To cancel the Palestinian elections.
Why? "Hamas should not take part.
They might win!"
Hamas is the main right-wing party
In Palestinian politics.
Elections without Hamas
Would be entirely meaningless.
Meanwhile, in "the only democracy
In the Middle East",
There is a serious consideration
To give senior ministerial positions
To arch-racists Smotrich and Ben Gvir.
