What peacemaker?

No peace with
The Palestinians,
And for many years
Not even a semblance of negotiations.
Continuing occupation
Increasing settlement
And a Palestinian complaint
To the International Court in The Hague.
Under Netanyahu's leadership, also
The decades-long peace with Jordan
Is eroded and shaken.
Netanyahu is boasting of
Agreements with countries
That never went to war
With Israel.
Masses of Israelis went off to Dubai,
Many being stuck there
When the Ben Gurion Airport
Was suddenly closed.
At the ballots next week,
It's unlikely that Israelis
Will be greatly impressed
With "Netanyahu the Peacemaker".
