Demonstration in Kalandia against the siege on the Mukat'a

On Friday, 27 th. september, Gush Shalom held a demonstration
in front of the Kalandia "check-point"
alongside the leaders of the Arab public in Israel -
demanding the immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Mukata'a.
the demonstration also acknowledged, again,
that Arafat is the elected, legitimate leader of the Palestinian people.
Surprisingly, the demonstration was peaceful and the army did not revert to violence.
