War Crimes

Best wishes from England

Supporting Gush Shalom against war crimes. A letter from Mark Westcott

I have just visited your website.

I would like to express my support for your courageous actions in opposing the unwise policies of your government. The photograph and comments about your attorney general just illustrate how bad things have got.

As a student of modern history, I can well understand the daily hostility and pressure that you must be facing to conform to official policy. The dissident's road is always a lonely one, and never more so than when a state of war exists.

I only wish leading politicians in Britain could find as much courage as you have and condemn Israeli state actions for what they are. They were quick to condemn oppression in Yugoslavia in 1999, yet now seem curiously unable to focus on similar actions by Israeli forces.

Perhaps they are afraid of upsetting Sharon's American paymasters.

I wish I could say that I was sure that you will win through in the end, but if you fail, I am sure that it will not be for want of trying.

Best regards,

Mark Westcott,

Eastbourne,

England.
