Free Dareen!

The Nazareth Magistrate's Court will hear the appeal of poet Dareen Tatour to abolish her house detention on Monday, November 20, at 10:00 am. Dareen was arrested on October 11, 2015. She spent 3 months in different prisons. Now, two years and a month after her arrest, she is still under house detention “until the end of the trial” in which she is accused of posting a poem on Youtube and two posts in Facebook. Our presence in the court is an expression of solidarity with Dareen against persecution and the attempts to silence her, as well as defense of the freedom of expression of all of us.
