The boats have gone through - time to remove the siege!

The passage of the boats has proven:
the siege on Gaza is a meaningless folly, the time has come to remove it

The government of Israel realized that it would be severely damaged by assaulting boats carrying peace activists and humanitarian supplies – and thereby demonstrated to the whole world that the continuing siege of the Gaza Strip by sea, land and air is in its entirety an mistake and unmatched folly.

It is time to end the siege, remove the blockading warships, fighter planes and tanks, let the inhabitants of Gaza build a sea port and renovate the airport which Israel destroyed, end Israel's objection to the opening of the Rafah Border Crossing, let the inhabitants of Gaza have free movement and free trade, free passage to and from the outside world – like the inhabitants of Israel and of every other country do. By the strangling siege, which prevents the Gazans from rebuilding their economy and pushes the great majority of them to the condition of paupers, the State of Israel with its own hands maintains and stokes the flames of hatred and conflict on its southern border.
