יום אחרי שצלף של משמר-הגבול הרג בדם קר את המפגין יוסף עקיל סרור בהפגנה נגד החומה בכפר נעילין, צעדו 3000 אלפים מפגינים מכול הארץ ברחובות תל-אביב במחאה על הכיבוש, שמלאו לו 42 שנים של דיכוי הולך ומחמיר. סרור היה המפגין השישי שנהרג בכפר נעילין, האחרון עד כה מבין 19 ההרוגים בהפגנות נגד החומה.
