Farewell to Rachel Corrie / Andrew Watt, ISM

Greater love hath no woman than this That she gives her life for her friends!

Farewell brave girl, Your loss is pain

I write this now, to preserve your name

A life cut short by brutal death

A living soul, crushed in the earth

Rachel, I sure call you brave

You gave your life, A home to save

We did not meet, dead friend of mine

Who gave her life in Palestine

What child of yours we'll never see

Your child unborn for liberty

My tears will go, but not your name

Your courage shone, and so your fame

Farewell now, brave Rachel

Your name will not be forgotten

Rachel Corrie, aged 23, was killed by the driver of an Israeli Army

bulldozer in Rafah, Occupied Palestine 16th March 2003 while attempting to

prevent the war crime of the destruction of a Palestinian home.
